Knowers. Doers.

Blistered Spit: a lifestyle focused on passion, drive, work ethic, community and exploration.

There are three types of people in this world: knowers, doers, and haters. Describing each is fairly self-explanatory, but suffice it to say that we'd rather hang out and experience life with the former two and avoid the latter altogether. And, it's really all about an experience, an adventure.

Blistered Spit is a collective of knowers and doers

In March, 2017, Texas Tech University professors Jerod Foster and Justin Keene led a group of media production students on mountain bikes laden with camping equipment and camera gear through Big Bend Ranch State Park, a more-than-300,000-acre expanse of the Chihuahuan Desert stretching from the banks of the Rio Grande northward from Old Mexico. The class, formally known as Adventure Media, was purposed with connecting the students to the adventure and outdoor recreation media industry through immersive creative production and a one-of-a-kind classroom experience.

This site is established to showcase the students and the work they created during The Blistered Spit expedition. The class was fortunate to work with several outdoor industry retailers and manufacturers, with much appreciation going to Tailwind Nutrition, The Mountain Hideaway, Velocity Bike Shop, Texas Parks & Wildlife, and Texas Tech University.

All students knew what to expect. All took away something more than they expected.
